I’ve seen a lot of Islanders fans be really cheap with dumping Boychuk but while it should definitely cost them one of their 1st and Wilde, it shouldn’t cost them both.

"I can’t sleep, I don’t know. " I'm sure Boychuk and Statsny would not sleep either, winding up their careers with the Wings. Gotta think their M NTCs block any trade to a team with cap space

Avs are good in net, no desire to acquire Fleury.

Don't hate these moves. Fills 2C on the short term, gain prospects and picks, use our cap space..... all moves we should be doing.

Like palhal said, maybe look for players that don't have NTCs.

Also - Not sure why Frans is on LTIR

Isles say yes. This is really good for both teams.

I can't see the Islanders giving up first rounders 2 years in a row and is Detroit even one of Boychuks 8 teams on his trade list? I doubt it, most likely he chose 8 teams with no cap space and a shot at the cup and I can't see him waiving to go to a rebuilding club like Detroit.

I have no idea what wb is? I'm guessing would be?..lol

Why buy him out? To save a 900,000 dollars of cap space? His buy out will still cost the team $5,166,667 in cap space for the next two years and then $416,667 for two years after that It's kind of pointless unless it's a desperation move.

It's not like Detroit is doing anything anytime soon, isles pay the signing bonus send him to detroit and they buy him out. Best chance Boychuk waives the M-NTC, isles lose cap, and detroit gains assets

Hey, I'm not arguing dude. I agree they need to find a new home for him. All I'm saying is Detroit needs to be on his 8 team trade list and if they're not he needs to agree to the move which he likely won't do. Our best chance is to move Leddy because I have a feeling we're stuck with Boychuk for at least another year unless Lou can work his magic.

I don't see isles paying both Wilde and a first to dump Boychuk. We're also assuming he'd agree to go to Detroit.

To be honest, I don't see Detroit as a fit for a cap dump outside of a guy like hickey where he could be traded for a low pick. I also don't see the isles using a prospect like Wilde in a cap dump... He's slotted for big AHL minutes next season and he's the insurance for Seattle grabbing Mayfiled in the expansion draft.

Lastly, Boychuk should be going to a team that doesn't want to spend real money but wants the cap space. He's making no real money so any team owners that are hurt bad by covid would be really interested in him.

The Elvenes part is where you lost me. Can’t give up our top wing prospect in this. If we have to move Stastny separately, he’ll fetch value.

What about another prospect? Doroforeyev?
