Vancouver has to add. In the end, it’s Marner for Boeser, and that isn’t something Toronto would want. If you took out Erikson, they would consider.

You're not getting:
-a top line winger
-a potential elite starter who's already (at least) a 1B goalie
-a 2nd rounder
-a great 4th liner who's got 3rd line upside

For an (elite top line) winger on a pretty bad contract, not a chance.

they're going to gut their roster for Marner?... Marner doesn't bring enough to this team to make it worthwhile.

so a team thats struggling for cap space, sends off its future goalie. one of its best young scorers. to save 3m in cap? i know this is an absolute shocker to hear but... if the redwings accept you trade scenario for loui... why wouldnt the canucks be willing to do the same deal? they double their cap savings if they keep boeser and demko and just trade away loui

Then we won't trade Marner. Demko and a second and MacEwan is worth it to Downgrade to Boeser, but Eriksson almost takes away all value from those 3 pieces.

VAN doesn't need to make this trade.
