Canes wouldn’t have offered Pesce. The Score isn’t a good source.

They all seem like pretty legit offers to me.

It all depends on how much the Jets value the potential return over keeping Laine IMO.

I expect to see corresponding fanbases continue to overvalue their own players but, non of these offers seems "out to lunch" or "far fetched".

Am I the only one who thinks the Jets are getting completely ripped off in that COL deal?

Jets should say no to all of those, so if those are actual offers that's why there hasn't been a trade yet. Yuck.

I think the Jets are valuing him very high. The Jets might want more than what these teams are offering.

The way I see it is teams aren’t going to be willing to sell the farm for one guy as it just ends up creating more holes.

The jets are trying to improve at C and D. A good trade should address those current needs and give one nice piece for the future.

The only ones they even think about are the CAR and maybe the MIN deal. Other then that, i expect quite a big return and and overpay

Yeah probably. I assume one of Byram/Newhook would have to be in it. And one of Graves/Timmins.

        I agree with you.
Jost has not been very good and his value is low
Graves is a nice piece for sure and TImmons looks to be an NHL dman, but Chevvy says no IMO

I dont mind the NJD one, but still...Im super hesitant for the jets to pull the trigger.

I really don’t like these trades from a Winnipeg point of view, the trades are missing quality pieces. Timmins Is good piece but unproven so there’d need to be a much better piece in that deal. Pesce is the best thing coming back but I think the deal would have to be Pesce + Suzuki or 13 + another small piece

The only trade that doesn’t completely overrate Laine is the Columbus one. Laine is a one trick pony. It’s an amazing trick, but not amazing enough for most of these packages. Not for me anyways...

Agreed. I think Philly has what the jets want, but maybe they dont wanna part with thier guys. Koneckny, Myers or Sanheim, Frost plus some picks? I dont know?? so hard to place value on other franchises players and what they are looking for. plus Philly doesnt really have cap space so maybe the jets would need to take more money back?

He's not a one trick pony though. The guy worked on his defense, physicality and playmaking and for more of the year was playing really well in all zones. He's still so young...that's why his value is so high.

I agree if the Jets can get Myers that would be amazing, I just don’t think Philly parts with him. But possibly Sanheim + Frost and a pick. That’d be a good deal for both teams.

One note on the CBJ deal they laid out: they mentioned that CBJ could extend Savard prior to making the trade, so he's not just a rental for Winnipeg. I think that would certainly add value.

It adds value but we’re still one major piece off from a deal. We’d have to add one of bemstrom, korpi or a first. (Korpi theyd flip).

Bemstrom's the answer here, since Laine is the best-case version of what he becomes: a top-line sniper. It would make me sad, b/c I love Bemmer, but it would be the right move.
