If that’s only what it would take to get Ekblad, I would be all over it!!

No no no to the Ekblad deal Bouchard step in either second half of this season or if full time in 2021/22 season at 950k compared to 7.5
Ekblad helps for one yr then the following 6 kills this team with that contract
Look what sakic did in Colorado didn’t spend or mortgage his youth for expensive quick fix and look at them now they have a explosive team with cap space and can easily manage the over the next five yr, Ekblad contract kills that model in which I believe Holland is doing here slow methodically small tweaks until the bad contracts are gone after this season then we’ll have cap and 3-4 guys on ELD stepping into the line up and contribute

No you don’t get it your looking for a quick fix I’m building a team that won’t have cap problems and compete for many yrs
