That's a bold trade, Florida is saying they want to cut spending and in 2 years Barkov is due for a major raise. I think they would strongly consider this if they wanted to start a rebuild. From a rangers perspective i'd be concerned about signing Barkov, Zibanejad kappo and fox all in the same year

Barkov trade is close but not there. Drop smith and add someone significantly better. Also if I’m NYR don’t fall into old habits. You have 2 stud young wings (Kakko struggled but still going to be really good) and plenty of other great young prospects. Don’t do a NY and gouge that you for an expensive name.
