Do you really think the Leafs will be in a position to draft Patrick? Even if they finish last, the changes of drafting first is still only 30%. Fowler, Stoner on defence? Isn't that a step backwards? Rychel?

And why would the leafs trade a very close fully very good developed prospect for a younger prospect who still needs time to develop

Half the time I post a team people tell me it's too soft. Tkachuk is a great prospect. Just trying to add a LW both Matthews and Marner played with well.
If they finish last they have a 20% chance btw. Why is Dvorak the guy who made Tkachuk better. He's good but if was good there I bet Matthews marner and him with do some damage. Also with Folwer and stoner I'm try to get younger and tougher/skilled with Ritchie. Jvr and Komo's windows to win are now. Not in a couple years.

I like Tkachuck but theres no easy way for us to trade for him and I don't think Nylander should be traded for him.

I like Fowler but in my ideal world we would move him to Winnipeg and keep Gardiner

I wouldn't consider the Leafs soft.....Komarov, Martin, Kadri, Soshnikov up front. Maybe a bit soft at D...but Polak (if he's a Leaf) and Carrick certainly have a edge and even Zaitsev does.
By your logic, you make the trades and the Leafs finish last. So maybe the trades aren't so good. The idea of the team is grow and win as a team, not to finish last for years and the next year win the Cup

Tkachuk was dominant even when Marner wasn't there (WJHC for example). He is the real deal. I wouldn't do the trade, though. Unless the sole reason is to get a LW vs a RW (with a small chance at being a C). Even then, CGY adds.

You can't sign Trouba for 8 years only 7 years and he already said that he would only sign long term with Detroit. No way is both Trouba and Fowler going to Toronto and it will cost $6 million per for Trouba.

It will be very hard to hit 100 pts in the OHL. He will be playing in the NHL.
