Would you do Pulock and one of Lee/Pageau/Nelson? Would give us a 2C and clear more room for you to sign Barzal

I'd do lee, but that would never happen.

Regarding JGP or Nelson, that's too much. Isles strengths are at defence and center. Giving up both for top-line talent wouldn't be worth it.

That's overpayment from NYI. Pulock for Laine straight up is more fair. The other proposal I've seen here is Laine and Pionk for Pulock and Beauvillier, which I think is great value for a shakeup, but I don't know if I'd do it.

I'm really not a fan. I'd rather make room for Hoffman honestly. Beau is a top-6 forward in his own right, who we still haven't seen reach his full potential and Pulock is a top pairing defenseman. Laine just isn't worth that, even if he is scoring 40 goals.

I’m sure someone will overpay for Laine and this is what WPG would ask for, but this makes the islanders significantly worse.

The islanders just got slower and lost their top pairing defenseman for a guy who will help the powerplay a bit.

That Laine deal makes the Islanders worse.

Or Dadonov. He's much better than Hoffman imo, who a lot of Islanders fans seem to want. He's probably going to be too expensive too, but if we had to get a big UFA, that's who I'd want

I’d rather sign Smith at around 4.25 x 3 than dadanov at 6 mill x 5. I agree Dadonov is a much better option than Hoffman.

Smith is one of the most underrated players in the league, he should have been on Nashville’s 1st line. Elite play driver at even strength, solid defensively, and is in the 94th percentile for goals/60

Pulock is a real nice piece, but not for Laine.
