It honestly is a terrible proposal. The comp I see the most for Laf is Huberdeau so wouldn't make sense to trade the sure thing for the potential, plus they're giving us Ekblad and their first lmao

yeah i wouldnt consider it if im Florida really not worth it. If im Florida, i try to trade up a spot or 2 to get Sanderson and then flip Ekblad for Laine to play with Barkov. Sign a few short term dmen in free agency And try to find a centre to play with Huberdeau on the 2nd line

If Rangers want to "win now" they make the deal. Huberdeau is a UFA in 3 years. LAF is seven years under Panthers control. Pretty even deal, and Florida would gain cap space to add another player. Think Florida does it....they haven't progressed with those two guys anyway.

But I don't understand that Calgary trade. A big overpay for Hanifan and Ryan

I can't see Florida making that trade. As for the Flames yes it's an overpay but Hanifin would be more useful to NYR than Tony and Ryan is a good middle 6 C.

So tough cuz of the age but I think I’d do Laf for Huberdeau if I’m the panthers. Probably not if I’m the rangers. Huberdeau is more valuable in my opinion but the age and UFA and next contract...

Can't the Rangers find a UFA LHD at 4.9m and then they don't have to lose their two first rounders? Rangers seem loaded at LHD at least for a season/

Rangers are loaded at LHD in their system(Miller, Robertson, Jones, Rykov) but they need someone who can play on their top line. I want Lindholm but Ducks fans hate my proposals.

Yeah I think Trouba is way overpaid and I’d get rid of him and Kreider. I mean this trade doesnt really make sense unless the Rangers are trying to win in the next two years or so. Honestly they have the pieces to just chill and not make any stupid mistakes lol
