We need a vet LD to play with Doughty, this is the idea going around.

Agreed, the value is fair and our team needs Leddy. However, I want the Kings to wait as long as possible to pull the trigger on this deal before the season starts. I think a lot of desperation moves will be made, and I want Blake to use this space to get the best deals possible.

I'd be fine with Hainsey via FA. I'm not even a bug fan at all of taking both Leddy and Komarov for a 1 year need. Bjornfot will be ready soon and we will be stuck with Leddy and Komarov. Which won't be big deal we can flip Leddy for a 2nd 50% retained the next season and buy out Komarov but I still don't really care for it. Its just an easier way to make Isles ACGMs lol

Same thinking here, I don't love it, but it makes sense. But if we somehow turn $10M of cap space into a 1st and a decent winger prospect or defensive prospect, I have no problem reupping Hutton until Bjornfoot is ready. Just looking at all the ACGMs cap space is a worry for teams and if we can just turn a big chunk of dead cap space for the next two-three years into high picks I'm all in.

I don't think the Kings should take on more than 1 big cap dump. Maybe grab LE and a 1st for Moverare and grab Marc Staal for Andersson and a 3rd or something. Doughty has had worse D partners and its only for 1 year
