I could be wrong but I feel like there will be a few suitors for Ryan and he may end up getting an offer in the 1.5-2m range - at that point it becomes interesting, for 925k x 1 I'd def take the gamble. I would imagine that the Blues have some interest given the status of Tarasenko and the uncertainty in production from middle six guys like Blais/Sanford/Kyrou.

I think Dubas will explore it. He can give the youngsters some tips and could work in a 3rd line role.

I see a 1 year 1mill deal should this happen.

If not Toronto, he goes home to Anaheim on a 700k 1 year deal

Ahh yes, I’m sure playing in Toronto, under the scrutiny of the media and the fans will do wonders for his alcoholism!

Definitely agree with that, but I'd be more interested in him as a locker room guy. For a guy who has had so many troubles and to have overcome them could be something great for the young guys on our team to look at his perseverance and commitment to bettering himself

Usually when a guy is brought in a a low cap hit and for a locker room guy we don't tend to scrutinize just like hainsey and Polak and Komarov

It's a whole different ball game when your a league minimum salary and have no expectations to justify a 7+ million dollar price tag - he'd be flavour of the year in TO and bank some advertising cash as well

Guess what's free for a player in TO playing for the Leafs? Everything, any mental health, or addiction program , doctors etc. all taken care of and the best available - I'd be absolutely stoked if he signed that deal in Anaheim and netted 20 goals. I think he deserves a shot if he wants it and I think he would get a real good chance on a real good team in Toronto

Yeah I was just joking around, I agree typically the vets like spezza don’t get targeted

Even $1M is nothing. He can probably get around 30-40 pts if he gets a good role with a good team.
