Would definitely consider it. Would give the Jets 3 top 20 picks in one of the deepest draft classes of the last 20 years, and help the back end with Severson. If they could pick up say Quinn, Schneider, and Holloway for example, that would set up a serious core moving forward

If NJD is picking up $6.3 million in Severson's cap...then WPG doesn't get two 1st round picks. The retention alone is worth a 1st.

I’d like to agree with you but Winnipeg won’t trade Laine for market value. They will need to get an offer similar to this where a team slightly overpays, but gives the receiving team a player that when used more effectively in the lineup can become a superstar.

Does that sales pitch ever work?

“You need to overpay” = fewer buyers = price will drop
