That’s the idea hopefully they’re all on board for team discounts.
The only things I’d do differently in this case is protect Armia over lekhonen for size and value just in case they wanted forward.
If there’s no NCAA this year than Struble is a man he should go straight to Laval with Harris. And Caufield should go to Saulte Ste Marie. They’re still in the running to host memorial cup and have a good team.

The contracts are really good + you're keeping the core but..., forwards roster si extremely small and non-physical. I would trade at least 2 amongst Byron, Caufield, Evans, Ylonen for bigger guys

It's a good price for Gallagher. At that term, I don't go above 6m per. Brendan will slow down fast ala Corey Perry within 3-4 years. Gallagher could easily get 7m+ on the open market.

Kotkaniemi will deserve more money. 3.5 million at the least if he scores like Suzuki at the same age.

That's a decent deal for Danault. Over 5 million is rich but the word is now out on his value after finishing 6th behind Cirelli in Selke voting.

I like what you did there. I added Killorn for this years 1st round pick as they have so many picks in top 2 rounds.

    Struble will play with Blainville-Boisbriand
Armia sign after the expansion draft so we don’t need to protect him and Lehkonen is definitely protect before Evans
Caufield isn’t going to play in the OHL, it will be in Europe of Laval

I don’t agree, I know we need more seize but Danault Suzuki Kotkaniemi Evans are all 6’0 of over
Drouin 6’1 Lehkonen 5’11-6’0, only Domi and Byron are small
    Armia Ylönen are over 6’1
    Weber Edmundson 6’4
    Petry 6’3
    Kulak Juulsen 6’2
    Fleury 6’1
    Romanov 5’11
    Mete 5’9

    Not too bad
Maybe trade Domi for a bigger forward

I don’t think Kotkaniemi gonna score 50+ points, so he’ll sign a bridge deal

Killorn for the 16th OA 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂

I have no idea if you mean thats too much or too little. I'm guessing the former.
Killorn has a great contract in a flat cap world, thats quite the asset.

Blake Coleman and Barclay Goodrow went for 1st rounder based on their value deals. 16th overall is 50/50 to even be an NHL player. They have only so many contracts to hand out and 3 picks in the 2nd round for a draft that has a bunch of similar players after the first dozen.

Bro Killorn is a middle six winger, we aren’t giving more than a 2nd for Killorn + he’s a LW, we need RW and better if they shoot right

Killorn for the 16th OA is ridiculous

You have Kotkaniemi signing for 2.5 million. Calling what I say ridiculous is quite rich.

Because we know if Kotkaniemi’s gonna do 20-30-40-50 points, we don’t know yet so I’m going in the middle

That was at the trade deadline not before the draft. 2 different animals there. Teams pay more at the deadline to get themselves primed for playoffs.

How does that make the slightest difference?

JT Miller was also traded for a 1st round pick. Are you gonna tell me that was in the Summer and we’re now in the fall.
    SMH

What matters is a team’s leverage it has nothing to do with the deadline. Deadline prices fluctuate every year

Thomas Vanek was traded at the deadline for a 2nd round pick in 2014. The previous Summer he was traded for a 1st round pick from the Isles.

    Absolutely moot your point

He scored 30 something points two years ago as a rookie. His two way Physical play as been lauded by the pundits. You think he’ll now regress on a better team?!
if even your INSANE scenario happened, he’ll still get far beyond 2.5 million a year.

This one of the more ridiculous takes I’ve seen on this site. Take off your homer glasses thinking players take discounts for no reason. Clayton Keller signed a mega deal 3 times that price. Even without buying a few UFA years he wouldn’t have been paid 2.5 million a year

If you actually admitted your mistake you’d some have credibility. Defending this dead horse really undermines your intelligence. I’m not gonna go in circles with a homer fan

Bruh you know nothing about hockey lmao I'll just had you to the ignore list, ok can change it to 3.5M I dont care he'll need to do 45+ points next year if he wants 3.5M+ otherwise it will be under 3M
JT Miller >>>> Killorn and because they are in cap hell, they dont get the best value for their players, exemple : JT MILLER

Wait .. killorn is a salary dump who they have to trade no way you give a first rounder for that..... they have to trade someone .. you get him for very little or let them be screwed

It doesn't work like that. If it was just the Habs and the Bolts talking then of course but many many teams like be interested in Killorn. The problem is that he has a 16 team no trade list so theoretically if said team that wasn't on the list could leverage that ONLY IF they knew the teams on the list. Its so convoluted that TB will get their worth with Killorn easily.

The Bolts were in the same situation last year while needing to shed salary and they were still able to get a 1st rounder for JT Miller. Killorn has an even better contract than JT. A big 26 goal scorer this past year (would have been 30 had COVID not happened) will get a 1st rounder back. TB wont be lowballed despite the fan boys thinking otherwise.

Its next level dumb to call JT Miller the more valuable player last season at the time of the trade when he scored 13 goals in 75 games before being picked up by the Canucks meanwhile Alex Killorn scored 26 goals in 68 games this past season.
Recency bias. Let me tell ya.

Killorn has only done that once and once he is no longer on high scoring TB he won't produce that again.....kinda like drouin... he has never scored 50 points and that is the first time he has scored 20 goals despite playing for TB... and he is 31 years old.....there is no upside here.....he is likely to decline given his age and when he is playing on a less talented team... he won't get alot of PP time as he doesn't in TB either... so a first round pick is way too much....best thing about him is that he has a reasonable contract whereas Dadonov or Hoffman might get too much term but won;'t cost you a pick.... i would prefer to keep Domi and let Killorn go elsewhere.......our only trade with TB was a disaster...

None of this is surprising that a thread for a team attracts the fanatics. Do you not remember every Canucks fan was up in arms over the JT Miller trade. Whom never scored more than Killorn this past season.

I’d of course rather keep Domi over Killorn. That’s not the point. Killorn is being shopped in a market. This isn’t survivor!

The same thing you are saying about Killorn, you could say about Petry whom had his best season ever at 32 and seems to be better with age.

The fact is that if YOU WANT KILLORN, you will pay.
That’s what trades mean not oh you only want to pay a third round pick ok fine, that sounds reasonable because we are in a cap bind. That’s what bozo brain thread starter can’t grasp. Leverage

This sounds as dumb as Leafs fans trading a third round pick for Sam Bennett because he had a 12 point season.

The market and cap dictate value not deserves. “Deserves got nothing to do with it” -Quite a famous line

Killorn will get a 1st round pick despite homers thinking he won’t because that’s what they want and you only need 1 team to pay it. Just as the Canucks did last season. The evidence is there. I’m not gonna argue history any longer With people that gush about Laine left and right.

No one is watching this thread besides homer brains so I’m outta my element with the lowest common denominator here.

If Killorn goes for less than a 1st, I want you to admit that you were wrong. I’ll do the same if Killorn gets traded for a 1st

me too.. Tampa doesn't have the leverage as they must make cap space.....
