hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Klingberg with 2 years left scares me. He or Reilly would almost certainly walk in two years. Meanwhile, Nylander would still be putting up 40 goals at $7M AAV for two more years.

That trade makes me uneasy

We'll give you Burns and a lot of other things for Seguin, but definitely not Karlsson one for one.

Right...and we're probably not super interested in Seguin if one of Vlasic, Burns or Jones isn't getting shipped out as well

Saying nylander would still be putting up 40 goals is wrong cause he’s never done it once

Lol I love that Leaf logic. His best year ever he was on pace for 38. Besides that his career high was 22. Lmfao. “Easily 40 goal 100 point player”

Exactly lol. Like could he score 40 goals? Sure he could. But he’s not a “40 goal scorer” yet

Course he could, not about to trade him at 24 for a 30 year old dman with 2 years left. I absolutely think Nylander could hit 40 goals. Marner/Matthews were 60 point guys, till suddently Marner is in the 90s and Matthews is on a 55 goal pace this year - why doesn't Nylander have that same breakout?

Best year ever at 24. Every year he's steadily improved, except for the massive setback during his contract year. Guy has sky high potential, not about to trade him lmao. It would be like the Kadri situation on steroids

Nate Mackinnon was a career 50 pointer, and even got a contract that reflected that till suddenly he became the best player in world. Nylander has nowhere near his ceiling, but he's a seriously elite winger, I don't see why it's so crazy to assume he could crack 40 one year

Trading elite talent that keeps improving every year is risky af

Nylander has more goals and points 5v5 than Barzal, Matthew Tkachuk, Pettersson, Aho, Eichel, Laine, and Rantanen in their last 82 games played

Now, I'm not saying anything... those guys are all franchise pieces and are uber elite talent and are better than Willy all round, not just 5v5

But let's not sleep on this guy because I think he could be really good in a few years smile

I think toronto media has really done him in with the trade BS because literally in any other market he's a franchise core piece that is never being traded ever

no one is sleeping on Nylander lol I agreed with you that he could score 40 goals. And he probably wont be traded unless they do somehow sign Petro (unlikely) and then a big contract will have to be moved because you cant have 5 players make $50 million of the cap

I'm interested in what made you decide to make this thread? These are all core players. Is this just to give other posters an idea of value?

What's the case with the Fleury swap? All of the other ones are in the right ballpark, but I can't say this one is a home run.

Tell you what, since we're swapping around players with NMCs you give us Pavs and Miro and we'll give you Karlsson.

(Not gonna lie, the idea of Heiskanen and Karlsson playing together is both really really really appealing to me as a Stars fan and really really really terrifying to me as a fan of literally any other team)

Was just salty about the Game 4 so wanted to make a core change lol

Figured that Fleury could mentor Oettinger to take the 1G role and at least he could stay healthy.

Nah. DAL wasn't trading Miro for EK 1-on-1 when he was on the trade block in OTT...

Trading Lindell would be a bad idea. EK’s contract is terrible and way to long. Not that Seguins is great either

Klingberg for Nylander wouldn’t be the worst idea. Then ship Rads for a top 4 Dman
