Description
With the Ryan Buyout, it seems likely the Sens will target a Right winger this offseason. Not suggesting all of these guys are available, but I think these guys would all be at least somewhat on Ottawa's radar.

That's a good point actually. I'll add Nylander in. He definitely could be an option, but I would more likely look at guys who could be added without having to throw a huge amount of assets.

For sure. That would make the most sense for Sens. I know that Sens were the first team to call on Nylander after Toronto lost to Columbus so there might be something to it.

The issue is Ottawa isn't really able to offer them a top 4 RD, which I would assume would be a virtual must in a Nylander deal.

Possibly. Unless Leafs get Pietrangelo, then they can easily just offer picks and prospects without any issue.

Tell you what: you give us back our 1st round pick and your 2021 2nd round pick and we'll give you Labanc. Failing that, no deal. The Sharks have nothing and nobody else at RW.

If you're not looking for a top six RW we could maybe work something else out.

For the love of all things Alfie, NOT Nylander. He will cost too much and he threw NINE HITS in 68 games. Other than Johnny Gaudreau (who's 5'9 and 165lbs) there's no top 6 forward less willing to forecheck and engage in battles. I would MUCH RATHER go for Josh Anderson or Alex Tuch, or spend FAR less and gamble on Virtanen or Puljujarvi.

I'm guessing you are joking because labanc is obviously not worth anywhere near that

Sens are looking to see what they can get with their wealth of 2nd round picks. I'd be willing to maybe move a 2nd, but if the ask was more than that I'd probably pass. I'm not as convinced of his upside as I was a couple of years ago, and more than a mid to late 2nd would be a lot to give up for a guy if he's just a 3rd liner.

Thats probably where i put it... i think the B's have to be taking a big swing in a trade/FA to feel the need to trade what is right now their 2L RW.

Unless it's someone of great significance, or a reasonable trade I'm not too bothered to trade for one.
But I'd rate Tuch, Laine, Anderson at the top of my list with Anderson being the cheapest get. Tuch might be the hardest of the group simply because I don't think Vegas wants to trade him. And I don't think we really have what the Jets want in a 2nd line C or top RHD.

Last on my list would be Virtanen, Nylander and Debrincat. Not touching Virtanen lol. Nylander and Debrincat are nice players but they're invisible when the don't score, less so for debrincat. I'd like players that bring more to the table

I think it's pretty likely that they're going to make a trade for one. I don't think the Sens bought out Bobby just to save 3mil over 4 years, especially when they're still gonna have to spend that money anyway to hit the floor.

I just hope it's one of those 3 I mentioned if that's the case. Unless they can make a big impact or require little in return then I'm hard passing

Oh god, yeah, no, I'm absolutely not in any way serious! Labanc is probably worth a lower 1st or a very high 2nd with a B level prospect - like, I'd say anywhere between 23th to 35th overall? I think a more realistic trade with the Sens would be their 2nd and a solid but not brilliant defense prospect. But it's not gonna happen because if he moves the Sharks have dick all at RW.

(Though who knows what a GM who really wants a consistently 40 point RW with room to grow and sees him as the missing piece to really complete their team would offer. Like, everyone (except me, apparently?) was shocked as hell that the Lightning gave up their 1st rounder for Goodrow, but he's been awesome for them.)

Anderson or Tuch is probably a better target for the Sens right now, especially if the Knights do start moving pieces to go for Pietrangelo. CBJ is going to deal with either Anderson's or Wennberg's contract to pay Dubois and I absolutely think they would take the 33rd overall for Anderson.

Buffalo is in need of adding a right wing, so I very much doubt they would be willing to give up their best one.
