2020 Offseason

Created by: GMs
Team: 2020-21 Montreal Canadiens
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 26, 2020
Published: Sep. 26, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
4th line option for next year : Ryan Poehling Jake Evans Jordan Weal Lukas Vejdemo, they will fight for the 4th and Weal probably 13th forward

If Romanov isn't ready for whatever reason, Edmundson go back on the Left side and Juulsen jump in. Juulsen 7th dman Ouellet 8th dman

NO RUN AT Taylor Hall, forget that
Bergevin not in Laine derby so forget him
Bergevin doesn't like Hoffman so he's not an option
Craig Smith could be an option if MTL keep Danault or trade Tatar this offseason and sign Smith. In this case move Buch on the left side ( he's a lefty playing RW )

I know that first line is really small, but the other lines aren't bad with 2 guys at least 6'0

I dont know if a team will take Lindgren, we'll see

MTL draft pick :

16th OA : Dawson Mercer
22nd OA : Jacob Perreault or Mavrik Bourque if still available

Gallagher contract extension : 6X6

Laval Rocket :

Dauphin-Poehling-Ylonen
Blandisi-Hillis-Belzile

Good Mete trade, never thought of this but Fischer would be a great fit

If Danault comes with extension then maybe just maybe this would work...

I actually think that's a deal that could work for both teams if danault is extended.

Edit: if danault is extended the 2nd turns into a 3rd

I’d prefer Habs resign Danault and then Trade Domi

Ok, not in my scenario
Danault ( extended ) have more value than Domi

listen what montreal will do is package Domi or danault and mete or kulak and a pick or two for a true sniper.... if we can't get that then we keep everyone and do the trade at the deadline... otherwise i would try some cheaper longshots like ryan or Puljajarvi but for a pick not a center and then see what is available later... 4 top 3 centers is a luxury that you don't throw away because winnipeg wants the world for laine or Hall wants too much money.... patience no knee jerk reactions.. As constructed now montreal is a playoff team .. truly .. they show that to pitt and Philly.. we don't need to panic... we have a great goalie and a solid defense and center depth.. we are going to be fine..

I know, if you know me I always keep the statu quo, but I was bored so I did some trades
