JFR's contract is horrible, he will not be gone unless you give up something with it.

Ya man JVR and ghost! I’ve been trying to invoke them in trades but damn! It’s tough! Like they gotta do something with ghost! But where and what... no idea, I see ghost playing with la but that bc they always trade with each other haha

Would think Giroux would take less then that if he truly wants to win. Always imagined him and Coots just flip flopping AAV’s when the time came. After winning the selke probably puts Coots in the 9m range now tho.

Yeah agreed I just thought of Pavelski and Radulov when I came to re-sign Giroux. And the Selke gave Couts a slight raise to 9 mill yeah

Pavelski comparable is definitely fair to go off of. In the end depends on what Claude will want and their cap situation depending on moves that happen leading up to this year. But this works and looks good for just relying on the youth to filter in.

I’m loving Brink, Ratcliffe, Frost, Farabee and Myers for you guys tho. Hoping Patrick and O’Brien pan out tho.

Hextall may have been clueless when it came to putting together a competent NHL roster, but he sure knew how to scout and find young talent that’s for sure.

Yeah you guys didn’t trade many prospect and just kept accumulating. I was wondering when a big move for a guy like Laine was going to happen but it never did. You still have a deep prospect pool and it would be nice if you could trade some to upgrade star power while dumping one of the older declining players

Personally I’m all for a Laine trade bc the pool is so deep. Sanheim most likely would be the center piece with Frost in the package and it would be worth with imo. York and Zamula on the way makes it bearable. Ghost can be good again playing with a guy like Myers. Game 6 against MTL with Niskanen suspended he got to play with Myers and had arguably his best game I’ve seen him play since 17-18.
