Thats quite a lot for 2 years of Barkov but an understandable ask. I think its a little high though

I'd say the opposite. Barkov is a top 5 center in the game. He's gonna cost a lot.

dare I say it, but you could get more imo. The gap between Barkov and Monahan is more than Bennett + Vali + a late first

That’s a lot of good pieces for Calgary to give up, but this is Barkov we’re talking about. I reckon Calgary accepts this. It won’t cost Vegas that much to move Stastny though, he’s still worth a pick, especially retained.

Top 5 center? I would say for sure top 10 but top 5 is hard to argue. Like I said, I dont disagree woth the ask but I personally wouldnt do it

If florida were to trade barkov it'd be the start of a full rebuild so it'd be pointless to get guys like monahan and Bennett.

I would go full rebuild but bob, ekblad, huberdeau contracts make that difficult one way or another, so I tried to go with something that would help now and future.

Did you just say huberdeau and ekblad contracts are hard to move? You realize how much they make right

Barkov is nmc so where he agrees to go may not be the best fit for assets they need, ekblad is a decent contract but he has been a bit up and down so you may not get value equal to value of letting him grow on your roster.

Not top 5 he’s not better than mcdavid, point, mackinnon, Crosby, petterson, Matthews, aho, or malkin

You'd get a good amount of picks and prospects back for each of them no matter who you're trading with

Ehh doubt it. He’ll get a whole lot from a team looking for a top rhd. But I doubt the panthers rebuild why rebuild with that core taht young. Just gotta get the spare parts to get it to work.

I don't know why I typed barkov and not huberdeau btw . And yea those two were the smaller part of it moreso the unmoveable contract that is bobrovsky. I just included those two as they aren't easily moved(but doable)

I'd argue him against aho, pettersson. Wouldn't be completely against putting him above Malkin, Matthews either. And point pre-playoff run wouldn't have been in this convo.

Anyone who knows anything about hockey had point as. A top 5 center before the playoffs and Mallon and Matthews are easily better than him also pettersson is way better. Barkov was amazing last year but this year he wasn’t even top 15.

Point was trending there but not surefire, I don't see where you have these other guys so far ahead of 90 point soon to be selke finalist barkov.

McDavid, mackinnon, draisaitl, Crosby are my top four right now, I think barkov is in the convo for five

I disagree. Only thing anyone can say for sure is mcdavid mackinnon and Crosby and the top 3. After that it's just opinion. In my opinion I'd put barkov with Matthews and Eichel (in no order) then point aho and Pettersson (in no order) behind them. I don't see malkin as top 10.

Forgot about drai. I'd put him at the top of the Pettersson, aho, point tier.
