Description

Now that Marc Staal has been traded, the Rangers should have enough cap space to sign all of their RFAs, and with Henrik Lundqvist most likely being bought out and Brendan Smith likely to get dealt in a similar fashion to Staal, the Rangers will free up enough cap to sign a guy like Torey Krug. Krug is the left handed offensive defenseman that the Rangers need, however I don’t think his next contract will be quite as high as many people might think due to his flaws in his own end. I can see him taking a small pay cut to join a team like the Rangers.

Having Krug and ADA on the same team seems like a bad idea. If you trade ADA then maybe it makes some sense but they’re both pure offense guys, which you should only really have one of
