Can’t see Chevy giving up 10OA. Someone very good will drop to us.

This will be unpopular for lines, but

Hoffman - Kotkaniemi - Gallagher
Drouin - Suzuki - Armia
Tatar - Danault - Lehkonen
Byron - Evans - Weal

Chiarot - Weber
Edmundson - Petry
Romanov - Mete

true it is tough but so is finding a top 6 center.... it took us years to find one... that is the premium thing here not a 10th overall pick.... there just are so few center out there... none of UFA that are any good... look around the league and find another one that is available.... and Bergevin know this because he was looking for 4years... and he had to draft and develop them instead....so he won't give domi away lightly... and he can sign him and wait till the deadline to move him... it is Winnipeg who must make changes now.... their defense sucks..

Did you intend to leave Mete unsigned?

If so, I must disagree. If he's signed he has more trade value and he plays both sides so he would look good on the third pairing.

and this way you get a center and keep Laine. I think Chevy would do this right away.

no but to be honest i like Juulsen leadership and he matches better with romanov and Berg wants a bigger defense this year.. Mete will get traded for pick(s)

Then lets hope he can play RD or center for you right away because else the pick doesn't help you and you are back to trading Laine again

Doesn’t mean we need to settle for Domi. He is actually far down on my list as potential 2Cs. I would rather give up more and target a guy like Monahan or offer sheet a Cirelli/Pulock kind of player, barring that I think we run with what we have and give the young guys a chance.
I could see adding in the 10OA in a big package for T6 or T4 but not a 1-1, especially for a guy who has openly admitted to hating the cold weather and would probably not resign in Winnipeg. We need a guy under long term control, not 1 year from UFA!

Chevy isn’t going to “settle” for Domi just because. If he has taught us anything, it’s that he is systematic and doesn’t really do drastic measures. Domi is 1 year from UFA and highly doubt he signs long term in Peg. He openly admitted to hating Montreal weather and last time I checked, Winnipeg isn’t any warmer.
If burning our 10OA, I would rather put a good package together for a guy like Monahan or Cirelli. Domi is too far down the list of players I would want in Winnipeg. So, no thanks.

well that is fine but I don't see calgary trading their number one center to you either .. gaudreau maybe but monahan isnt going anywhere, and offersheets never work either we tried last year..... you don't have to like domi but you will find out what Bergevin found out ... in 4 years Berg. found that nobody wanted to trade their top center unless it was for another center.... they just don't become available.... you you know free agents don't do the Canada thing very often unless you're in toronto

winnipeg will have to do what montreal did .. draft and develop their centers...you just need a few years for them to arrive

you know domi was born in the peg and i think if he can play in the top six he will sign before winnipeg trades for him.. he loves playing in Canada is what he has said.... yes he complained about the cold but so do all Canadians.... In montreal we like domi and signing him and having extra center depth is a good possibility ... he will cost 4 mil and not 10 mil of laine and we wont have to trade other players to get in under the cap.
