I really don’t think Krug is such a good idea. He’s a type of defenseman that we already have in DeAngelo and Fox, it’s another long, high AAV contract and it blocks young guys like Miller, Robertson, Reunanen, and Hajèk from getting meaningful ice time for the foreseeable future. I think our cap space is better spent somewhere else...

The trades aren't the problem. It's Krug. Why are we giving Krug $7.5M per year for 7 years when we have DeAngelo who will check in at $5-6M per for 4-5 years and will be a movable contract when our younger players need to get paid...because he shoots lefty? For the 28th overall pick?

I love how you act like you know anything they want. NYR aren't going after Krug. That's the only reason he's not playing there.
