It wasn’’t offered it was speculation as to what could get it done. Regardless this trade doesn’t work for the Jets. Winnipeg might consider if they remove the picks going to MTL

Oh boy, you know it’s bad when Habs fans are saying it’s not even close....

Honestly, as the reports go out, I think people miss the part where it’s stated that the Jets have a ridiculously high price tag attached to Laine. If a team wants to be in on him, it’ll cost you an arm and a leg, which is why I believe he likely stays a Jet.

So MTL is getting the best player in the trade to go ALONG with a top 10 pick? Where does Bergevin sign... haha

All of a sudden my trade (https://www.capfriendly.com/armchair-gm/team/1886230) of Domi, Drouin, Mete, Juulsen and a 1st for Laine (minus the 1st & 3rd) doesn't look so bad!
