Personally if I had horrible problems like too many good players on my hockey team I would move some for great returns. If I’m lucky maybe those great returns net me some more “problems” in the future.


If I get a player like Nylander I rather keep him than trade him at a discount cause I can't afford him because of a 6.5M 3rd liner.

First I would say don’t trade him at a discount. Good players means you have 30 options to trade and several probably competing.

If you feel it suits your team and needs better to dump the 6.5m player then you will need to give up some assets. It sucks but it’s not the end of the world.

Is this situation I would keep him for a few years and then look at the landscape of the league and your team.
