Description

Solidify some weak spots in the short term, and recoup some draft picks to restock the farm.

Used some proposed trades from Bruce McCurdy at the Edmonton Journal and TSN's Alan "Lowetide" Mitchell.

Holzer is a downgrade on Benning but he's got moar grits and will be cheap injury insurance once Bouchard eats his lunch.

Between Bruce, Lowetide and Woodguy I think the Oilers have some of the finest coverage in the league. Now, about that team... haha

Edited to complete the conditions of the Neal trade. No way I'd the fLames a pick in this draft. It's too deep and we need prospects contributing sooner than later.

Interesting tweaks

Looking long term you, would you expose Caleb Jones in the expansion draft then? 7 forwards, 3 defensemen, or go 4-4? If they don't sign Benning, I think they might sign a vet RD to a two-year deal to expose in the expansion draft and possibly go 4-4—perhaps leave RNH unsigned until free agency with a handshake deal to bring him back?
