Nah
We'd rather have a 3 time Stanley Cup winner who also grew up in our city smile

Kane doesn’t do good at home. Remember the rape incident a few years ago?

I'm sure Bowman would accept that in a heartbeat with the thought of getting younger

Why would you trade olofsson for change from under the sofa cushions? Hes not some kid that had a good year playing with eichel, hes really good.

i think the Kane offer is really bad. Kane is only 31 (one year older than Pietrangelo who apparently is the greatest player ever based on the abundance of posts focused on doing anything to sign him) and one year removed from being a Lindsay finalist. I get that he’s older but if you want him, it should include a lot more

I mean, everything else aside, you do know there's a flat cap this year, right? Everyone's life would be much, much, much easier if it was going up to $85.5 million, but it's not, and it won't hit that point for at least two (or three) seasons from now.

EDIT: also, uh, Kuemper is better than Ullmark, so why is Arizona paying you to take him? Yes, they want to move his contract for financial reasons, but given his numbers I'd be shocked if they had to pay out multiple picks (if any!) to do that.

No it wasn't. It was dismissed for lack of evidence, which is not even remotely the same as "being proven wrong". You can argue semantics all you want over it, but it's going to be a very dark, very permanent stain on his record for some of us.

Edit: this was not the correct venue for this comment and I will not be replying to people about it going forward.

I don’t know if you understand “lack of evidence” but the judicial system runs off of evidence. Regardless, we aren’t interested in trading a superstar for some mediocre players so if the Sabres want him, we’ll take Eichel or Dahlin. Otherwise worry about turning your franchise around before it gets relocated to Houston.

I feel like this is probably not a good argument to have, so let me just say: that trade is extremely bad. Reinhart is certainly a very good hockey player, but he's nowhere in the neighborhood of 100 points/season and the other terms of the proposed trade don't make up the difference there. Maybe if the Sabres had and were offering the 1st overall this year, but alas for this poster, they do not.

Also, lolllll. Take another look at my pfp and tell me if you think my franchise is really in any danger of being relocated to Houston. (Spoiler: it's not)
