Could be worth the risk considering when he was on better teams he always scored 20+ goals. Phil's scoring totals by season are 70-92-82-38-___ ... how do you know how to fill in the blank? Not trying to compare the players but at one point Claude Giroux's season point totals went 86-73-67-58-102. I think I'd rather see the Blues pick with their 1st but the way the team is built I wouldn't be surprised if they shop around a little bit.

He’s 32 my opinion he’s hit the decline button and that’s a big cap hit for 2 yrs for a 35-40 point guy and doesn’t move the needle enough to put the blues back in the cup finalists conversation and isn’t that what we’re talking about.

I wouldn't move our 2020 first for Kessel. We need to add to our prospect pool now. We showed last season that we can survive without Tarasenko during the regular season... so we don't need to rush out and replace him and can be patient with his return with how late it looks like next season will run.

If we were talking the 2021 first & Bozak for Kessel at 50%? That is something I could maybe get on board with. Might not be enough for Arizona though. Normally delaying the pick a year isn't good, but Bill Armstrong might be open to that knowing he'll have his own set up running the 2021 draft, rather than the current group.
