Description

If Pietrangelo doesn't wanna sign here, then we go after Krug. If not Krug, then Barrie. If not Barrie, than TJ Brodie. Then Shattenkirk, then Tanev, then Justin Braun. If we can't get anybody by this point then just move the team back to Atlanta

By signing Galchenyuk (or any middle six forward with willingness to take a one-year prove it deal) we get some flexibility and the potential for him to maybe play 2nd line center, or we can move Wheeler to play 2nd line center as he's actually a damn good center.

And because Galchenyuk signs a one-year deal and Lowry, Copp, Pionk and Roslovic's deals are all ending at the end of the season, we have plenty of cap space to give Laine $10M or more if that's what it'll take to sign him long-term.

We don't have to trade Ehlers/Laine/Connor to get a d-man, we just don't.

All I ask is that they stay away from Tyson Barrie, complete opposite of what the team needs, anyone else I would be at least ok with.
