wouldn't be an offseason if chicago wasn't trading for one of their former players

I am glad Sikura is getting a change of scenery, I think he really needed it. He could blossom into a decent bottom 6 forward. Rip @ChiHawk.

This had to be a favor to Sikura because Pirri is useless at his age so nothing more then a AHL player.

Completely and purely a favor to Sikura. Sucks we couldn’t get a useful asset though, I would have even taken a 6th with Pirri if that could have worked.

It literally happens every offseason. I thought that streak would end this year, but obviously it lives.

I think Vegas wins this overall @ChiHawk and @Stan_Bowman are correct. This had to be a request by Dylan and Stan's not keeping anyone around that isn't committed to the Hawks. He'll do his best to send you somewhere.

Pirri gets to continue playing in Chicago after playing most of his games for the Wolves over the past 2 seasons.

You know who else was a former Hawk that might be available?

One Shiny Phillip Danault.

All it will cost you is 16th Overall and Adam Boqvist

Is this the definition of a troll comment? Bringing in half of a completely unrelated story...to make one's self happy about a trade that happened to work out in the favor years later, but at the time, id do again... credit Danault for taking advantage of the ice time on an atrocious Habs team... yeah its a troll comment that deserves a troll response.

I'd still rather have Debrincat.

I don't want to cry over spilled milk, but I loved Sikura, thought he could end up as a nice two-way 3rd liner. Not sure why we didn't play him for the longest time, especially when he showed a lot of positive signs in 18-19. As long as we get some value out of Pirri, I guess I'll be happy, but I could definitely see this burning us down the road, even in a small way

Yes this is a troll comment but it's something that could happen because for some reason Bowman loves to overpay to get his former players back.

Debrincat is a different trade and we can't compare that trade until Montreal drafts with the picks we got back from Shaw, we can see how got the better players

Is Bowman just playing NHL20? I liked this guy last season, I'll get him back.

I guess Sikura requested a trade and there weren’t many offers. Oh, well. At least CHI gets a fourth-liner, they din’t have many of those

Maybe next season we could look into Justin Holl? Or maybe anyone from Arizona? Hinostroza, Oesterle?

CHI gets a minor leaguer, while VGK gets an interesting player who still has time to be good. Even if Sikura busts, VGK wins; these are the kinds of gambles that are always worth taking.
