I would think it would go without saying that any successful NYR offer for Eichel would have to include the 1st overall pick.

I know everyone says the price for Eichel starts with 1OA, but if that's the case it nearly ends with 1OA too. You're not getting Laf+Kakko+Zib+Fox or something like that.

It would be like Laf+TDA or Laf+Nils. Would you prefer that to a package that includes 3 firsts and a bunch of quality-but-not-Laf-quality players?

Yes, there would be plenty of tough decisions to be made when they would have 30 mil tied up between Panarin, Eichel, and Trouba. Especially if Zib commands 10+ a year, which i assume he would.

Take out Strome. Add in Buf 2021 3rd.

Obviously Lafreniere is in the trade.

Buffalo picks 1st, 8 th, 22 nd and 38 in a deep draft.
Use the newly re-acquired 2021 3rd, along with their 2021 1st, to offer sheet, or trade for, Cirelli or Sergachev.

Nope. Still don't see it without NYR taking a big contract back. Something like Fox for Montour or Ristolainen.

Ok but Laf is also not worth Eichel in a one for one trade and I think they need to add significantly. Eichel is like 23 and a top 10 player in the league that is on a good contract for like 6 more years. Laf hasn’t proven anything to make him worth that even if he provides 3 years ELC

Not sure what you think the cap dump is in this trade. Unless you're talking about the Ottawa trade for some reason?
