Or not

The messaging out of BUF is Sabres aren’t shopping Eichel, there’s no real desire to trade him, but since Kevyn Adams became new GM several clubs have called about Eichel’s availability. NYR believed to be one of the teams that called. So calls were made; calls were taken.

None of those talks with other clubs resulted in Eichel trade traction. But it’s also believed there has been dialogue between Eichel and BUF to ensure they both want the same thing (to get better obviously) and share the same timetable (sooner rather than later).

So, the face-value review appears as follows: Eichel doesn’t want out of BUF; BUF doesn’t want to trade Eichel; move along, nothing to see here. Fair enough. But some rumours are worth checking out/mentioning. Which I’ve now done. Now back to draft prep.

Yea i mean If Laf is in play, its not more than 1OA, Miller and Georgiev. Not getting Igor here.

Uhh yeah it is if you want a top 10 player in the league. Laf is awesome but he hasn’t proven anything to make him worth Eichel even with the other two players involved

Yeah, that's not happening. The only way Eichel is traded is if he asks for it and then the sabres are all but forced to make it happen.

There isn't a team in the NHL that would offer a single more valuable piece than Lafreniere, so him alone likely trumps all other offers well before you add a franchise goalie and top defensive prospect

That’s not how trades in the nhl work potential plays a big part in it when trading/acquiring a #1 pick

Trades like Eichel actually don’t really happen ever. He’s about as elite as they come on a great deal with a lot of term taking him through his prime. I’m not saying the first doesn’t start the conversation but it really isn’t enough. I don’t even know why the Rangers want all these deals. You dont need Eichel or Barkov or any of these other players that i see proposals for. Just eliminate bad contracts and continue growing your prospects and you’ll be set up long term.

I don’t see Eichel getting traded for a bit but it’s an interesting exercise to see what they could do if they traded their star for some magic beans

Oh yeah for sure. I think that the Rangers are overvaluing their young players like Kakko, Laf, Fox, and Shesterkin. They may all turn into superstars but they also may not and Eichel is a superstar so in my opinion it would take Laf + fox/shesterkin/Kakko

Blackhawks DO NOT WANT MONTOUR.

Mittlestadt plus the 2021 1st (top 10 protected) or we'll gladly keep Strome
