This is interesting for sure
Personally I wouldn’t do it
I could understand WPG fans saying no to this

Good offer. Add another small piece in Mete/Fleury/Juulsen/Ylonen and i think Jets consider it

6'5 Laine for 2 5'9 smurfs in Domi and Caufield, And why would Chevy ever consider that? Doubt he wants to get smaller up front.

Easy, gets an offensive 2C, 16th OA pick and someone who ‘’could replace Laine in 2 years’’ so yes, they could consider it

I dunno... are the Jets in rebuild mode?
Are the Habs in win now or never mode?

Cause this deal sets Win back a lot and puts a big dent in Habs' youth depth... But then again, Laine is still super young...

So my guess is that Habs say yes but jets say no!

Not what Chevy wants though, He's looking at 2C and a top 4 Dman not a 2C and winger that might be as good as Laine 5-10 years down the road.

Why would Winnipeg do it? Winnipeg would be trading 3 years of Laine for two years of Domi, getting a tiny wing prospect they don't need and a first.

So, this trade fixes no holes for the Jets without creating a larger hole and is basically just downgrading Laine to Domi and and not improving the team in any way. The only way Laine gets traded is to improve the team.
