Yeah, but for a team like the Rangers, who will need to pay Lafreniere in a couple of years, it's good to open up cap space. This is part of a series I just finished where I basically just showed what all the original six teams would look like if some of the rumored moves were to come true so it's not like it's my opinion, just a rumor based on some Strome mock trades and because his brother already plays on the rangers, it would make sense to me if the rangers would go after him for chemistry.

don't listen to these basement dwellers. the rangers would accept that trade in a heartbeat. you can keep the 4th rounder, maybe you'll draft another Niklas Hjalmarsson with it.
