Eichel wants help and Buffalo better find him some...or else! This move is intended as immediate help, but also great for the long haul. Wild get pieces more appropriate for a rebuild...as if Idiot owner, Craig Leipold would ever allow that...

BUF declines this. The value isn't sufficient and they don't need Dumba.

I like it. They probably don't see Dumba as a significant upgrade over Risto, though you and I know better. Fiala by mid season plus JEE might make them consider moving Cozens.

Sabres have 3 untouchables Eichel, Dahlin and Cozens.

@MNBassman how do you see the trade breakdown? Cozens is an unproven commodity so I’d think Buf would have to add to get Fiala just as he’s breaking in to his potential ... and if BG is asking a 1st and a young player for Dumba alone, doesn’t seem to me like he’d use Fiala as a sweetener.

You and everyone else say that now but if you are getting close to a playoff spot and need something to put you over the top to keep jack happy, this offer will then look very appealing.

We're right on the edge of winning the cup for 10 years running... Wait, I mean right on the edge of *checks notes* losing in the first round? No that can't be right. CL tells me every year that all we need are tweaks.

I’m not the Sabres GM
But were i,
then I’d look at Cap strapped teams to try & get deals on decent players for cheap

Cozens is pretty much untouchable
And so is pick8 imo
