the leafs get exactly what they need. tampa gets a 21 year old RHD who’s cheap for 2 more years and can play with sergi or anyone else. it makes sense

Liljegren is still not a nhl ready prospect, cernak is already a nhl player, and a good one at that. A 3rd won’t do anything

A team like Tampa wouldn't trade an exceptionally good player for a prospect. I think liljegren will be great one day, doesn't mean Tampa wants him right now, they want to win

Couldn’t leafs just offer sheet him and pay only a second round pick. I don’t think can pay him. I understand offer sheets don’t really happen but still.
