I think that’s more reasonable than most to be honest. I think people see a name like laine and expect a very similar value player back plus several big adds which isn’t how things work.

Really? this is a trade i would not do because I would not even consider trading Necas. Necas easily has 50-55 point upside next season and i think he could develop to be close to a point a game guy

Yes losing Necas wouldn’t be ideal. He is the top piece in the deal. Fleury, Nino, and a 2nd are add ins that can be replaced.

In the end, I don’t know that we can afford it long term so, it’s fairly moot.

We could definitely afford it especially with nino being moved out. If svech, laine, and Hamilton all came in between 8-9mil the canes could get them all signed. It would likely require the canes dumping someone like Gardiner and playing Bean on the third pair.
