Why would Hayes know anything. This isn’t happening, flames arent taking on two bad contracts for a superstar

I really doubt it's legit, but who knows. There's the belief that PHI signed Jimmy's brother Kevin to entice Johnny. Maybe, the Hayes family hears some tidbits from Flyer management.

I don’t think the flyers gm is calling the Hayes family with updates to his trade talks.

Well, Paul Bissonette had a scoop on Neal/Lucic from Treliving at Stampede last year. People around the league talk.

Honestly, I could see this happening realistically. My first thought when I pondered Gaudreau trades was something surrounding Voracek. Although, instead of Frost I could see it being Farabee because it seems like you guys could use another winger that is NHL-ready. Regardless, Frost/Farabee/High-end prospect is the piece I would be most reluctant to give up, which tells me the Flyers win this. With that said, I could still envision happening in today's NHL with today's GMs.

I think this is the right idea for the Flames (use Geaudreau to fill a hole or two) but not the right execution. Flames should be asking for Sanheim or Morin instead of Ghost, and a better player with a lower cap hit instead of Voracek (not sure who, maybe Konecny if they think Geaudreau would re-sign).

Edit: Geaudreau is a hell of a player, much like the Dumba situation Treliving would be smart to be patient. Just look at the Duchene trade as an example of patience paying off

He had a scoop on the Barrie trade because he was having lunch with him when Sakic phoned Barrie lol

If this happens I might stop cheering for this team until Treliving is fired because that would be atrocious. Johnny's on a great deal, Vora is on a terrible one, and Ghost just isn't good, plus we're swimming in LD. Johnny should easily fetch Frost+1st+another top young guy like Farabee or Myers.

For sure, Ghost is where I see this deal go south. To me, he's a more expensive Gustafsson.

I can live with Voracek, his contract is bad, but for 50-60pts it's managable.

Betting on a Ghost bounce-back is way too risky for me.

I can’t find anywhere where bissonette said that. Hayes has absolutly no idea what’s going on anywhere he probably took one too many hits to the head

It was on their podcast, he said he bumped into Treliving at Stampede and told him that he was trying to get Lucic.

Keep in mind, they have a relationship from Arizona

I have a feeling he wasn’t serious cause that’s a weird thing to say unless bisonette and lucic are friends.

I got downvoted into oblivion on r/Flyers the other day for saying this trade would be robbery for the Flyers with people calling it "an overpayment from Philly"...

Gaudreau is such a divisive player.

I know that Flames fans would be very angry if this were to happen

I find it quite funny that certain flames fans still haven't forgiven JG for that one interview he did that one time.

I've said it before, and I'll say it again, the Flames do not need to make a trade...there is potential for a shake up but the other team really needs to sell us on the deal. This one, frankly any I've seen from Philly, does not at all impress me.
