No. You need to give quality to get quality. No chance you're getting Dougie Hamilton with an offer like that (I know you think unsigned makes it different but it doesn't). Hamilton probably has to start with Nylander to be honest.

Overpayment for 1 year of Hamilton. Honestly as soon as you mentioned Sandin I lost interest. I would much rather have Sandin for the long run over one year of Hamilton.

I am not saying I think the Leafs should do that, I just don't think the Canes move him for anything less. No reason they would take a bunch of pieces (only one of which even looks like it might be something) to move Hamilton. It would have to be worth it for them.
