As much as I would love to get Eichel on the Rangers, I think the Sabres realize at this point that in a COVID-19 world where they can’t afford to pay bonuses nor can they afford to spend too much on players, they would not be able to get a good or else desired package back if they were to trade Eichel in the first place. So as long as Eichel doesn’t demand to be traded, the Sabres are better off just keeping him.
