Duchene - Laine could be dirty, but there is no way Laine gets traded within the central division.

I'm sure you're right, but let me have this dream happy

I know Poile has never been shy about trading within the division, but I don't think the Preds have made a trade with the Jets since they were the Thrashers.

Oh look another *garbage* Laine proposal.

Ekholm will be on the wrong side of 30 and has only 2 years left. Turris, again on the wrong side of 30 and is a cap dump at this point. & 2 likely picks between 20-31 aren't all that enticing.

Laine would start with Fabbro and a 1st in 2020's draft. Likely Tolvanen in the deal too. But nothing like you've proposed.

I see the Jets being in win now mode, so I wasn't going to load the offer with just futures. Ekholm and Turris fill immediate needs for WPG. With the retention, Turris isn't really a cap dump (I did contemplate going up to $1.5M retention, but wanted to leave some room in the proposal for negotiations). I think Turris could excel on WPG's 2nd line, with the kind of quality wingers the Jets could pair him with.

They're not gonna trade a 23 year old elite goal scorer for aging players. Fabbro helps them win now. They need right handed d-man. Tolvanen can step in and take Laine's role. Then the picks they can either use for other immediate help, or keep. But if Laine's moved it's for significantly more quality and younger players than you've offered.
