I really think Raymond would be a great fit 4OA for Detroit as I am not to high on Perfetti... but they will be 4-5

i honestly agree Rossi would be a perfect choice for Detroit. Perfetti would be a reach imo.

Rossi is the better centre, better on the defensive end, better skater, better playmaker, more chance to be a 1C than Perfetti. Id rather Rossi and its not close

especially Holtby. I hope he goes to Detroit on a 1 year 5 mill prove it deal tho. Also too much to Granlund, more like 2 years at 5 mill

No he isn't only his hockey IQ perhaps, Rossi is an elite skater Perfetti is not. Rossi will definitely be a Center at the NHL level where Perfetti will probably 1st or 2nd line LW. I'd easily take Rossi over Perfetti 10 out of 10 times.

Raymond or Rossi... But I like the Zadina - Raymond combo. And as Sens fan i hope Rossi is there at 5

Granlund is massively underrated... sucked in NSH cause he played with Duchene and Turris... Natural centerman... Good 2-way player... Playmaking skills to set-up Mantha... in two years this will look like a bargain

Holtby, prob a bad singing, but that's what he will want to come to DET... Will provide stability in net, leadership and experience they need (maybe make it 7X5 for 5X7)

Some are comparing Perfi with Point... not necessarily the best skater but cut the ice perfectly to always be the first on the puck... deadly shot and heavy high-IQ

Same here, If anyone has bust potential between Rossi or Perfetti it's definitely Cole Perfetti he'd be the last one i'd want Yzerman to take at #4 it's definitely between Raymond and Rossi.

I do admit that Raymond/Zadina could be nice but a franchise centre is harder to find that a winger. Its easier to trade for Boeser than Scheifele later on lol.

I'm not high on him either. Honestly the big reason Perfetti is tied to Detroit is Saginaw is about an hour away and 2 people in the management team that owns the Spirt have ties to the Wing's. Chris Osgood played and won a couple of cup with Detroit and now with Fox Sports Detroit as an on air analyst and he fills in as color commentator because Mickey is getting older and doesn't go the road anymore. Jim Devellano Senior V.P. and alternate governor for both the Wings and the Tigers. He is also the first person Mike Ilitch hired after buying the Wings in 1982.

Rossi is a waybetter two way Center no doubt... hard worker super fast and great hands... again they are close TOP5... I have look at many games and definitely prefer Rossi's game personally but Perfetti is an offensive machine that Detroit need... but more mature NHL ready one would be Raymond playing against man... we will know where they end-up shortly

I think Perfetti tops as a 2LW. Rossi will be a solid 1C , maybe not top 10 but medium 1C.

Perfetti said in an interview that Yzerman was present on the zoom interviews but had his camera off and mic muted. Now Rossi said that he has had several 1 on 1 conversations with Yzerman.

The only thing that scares me about Cole Perfetti is his skating ability, When you look at his film highlights he looks very awkward on his skates. I agree he has elite shooting ability and that's a plus. If he gets his skating issues taken care of i agree he could be a very dangerous hockey player his hockey IQ is off the charts that's one good thing he has going for him and he's a very good setup man for sure.

Pass on Granlund & Holtby especially at those terms and dollars. I’m really pulling for Raymond as I think he would be lethal with Zadina and has massive potential. I also think Yzerman may use his RHS as a tie breaker since he mentioned Gagner’s RHS as a great reason to bring him back at the last presser.

I’m not sure I’d label Rossi a sure bet as a center in the NHL nor would I label him as an elite skater. How many centers are in the league at 5’9”? People will point to Point (5’10”) but he took massive strides in his skating so you’d have to see that level of development from Rossi and even then name another center in the league. I think Perfetti has a higher ceiling than Rossi but I think Rossi’s floor is much higher.

in terms of Raymond vs Rossi, do you think Detroit would benefit more from adding someone like Scheifele or Marner to this team? You also take a LHD in the 2nd rounder. A tough guy like O'Rourke, Wallinder, Guhle, Cormier, etc could be nice and what this team needs

Rossi had three interviews with Detroit while Perfetti had two. I’m not reading too much into it because how much chatter was there about Seider’s interviews (even the look on his face at the draft) or Rasmussen? I remember in Rasmussen’s draft year we took Necas out for a steak dinner and didn’t do anything for Rasmussen.

Perhaps i should've said elite skater compared to Cole Perfetti, I mean yeah he's not an elite skater compared to Larkin or McDavid but he's fine as he is now. If you're talking elite skater between Jamie Drysdale and Marco Rossi it's definitely Jamie Drysdale just his edge work is phenomenal.

It's really hard to say because Detroit needs to much help in many different area's, While a play making 2C like Rossi would be sweet a 1st or 2nd line RW/LW like Raymond either with Zadina or Mantha could be pretty lethal both intrigue me quite a bit.
