I don't like this trade from the Penguins perspective. Penguins don't need to add more middle 6 forwards, especially not at the expense of a good top 4 defenseman who's signed to a reasonable contract.

I don't think it makes sense from a Dallas perspective either. Their forward depth is weaker than their defensive depth so I doubt they'd add to a strength while taking away from a weakness

Dallas isnt moving hintz and i don't see them moving dickinson any time soon.

Definite no from Dallas. We need another scoring forward. And this trade has us trading away a scoring forward for a defenseman we can’t protect in the expansion draft. And Dickie may not put up a lot of points but he’s the right kind of bottom six forward and a guy we should be keeping
