I don't think he gets more than $4M and there's still a little room left over in my cap.

63 games played, he won't get more than that he's not a UFA

It was either Rossi or Yohe who reported it's likely Jarry gets more towards $4M.

Hard pass doesn't help the Wild at all.

1) Wild don't need LWs
2) JJ is trash
3) Murray is going to want more money than the Wild are comfortable with plus the Wild are planning on protecting Kahk during the ED so taking on anyone that isn't a 1 year deal is a bad idea.
4) if the Wild are taking JJ they are not giving up 2nd. Remember Bjugstad got 50% retained and got a conditional 7th? The Pens would need to pay the Wild to take JJ
5) Lastly, it was known that Guerin was making a play for Jarry when he asked about goaltenders during the Zucker trade. Guerin knows exactly who Murray is. I would bet the Minnesota pitt deals are done for the time being.

Remember that Guerin accepted a trade for Johnson last season, so I wouldn't jump to all those conclusions. Kessel saying no is the the only reason JJ wasn't wearing a Wild sweater this past year. Also, jJust because he preferred Jarry doesn't mean he wouldn't want Murray. Simon has played mainly RW. He's a great plug, but it sounds like the Pens are going to part ways to make room for some of the younger players.

Wrong GM, that was Fenton's move and thank god for Kessel am i right? Saved the Wild from two trash contracts and Guerin already got a 100% better deal for Zucker instead of the one originally from the flames that didn't make it on time on the TDL.

Regardless. Just because YOU don't want JJ doesn't mean MIN wouldn't take him in the right deal.

Sure they could take him in a deal, but certainly not the one you pitched.

because I don't have homer glasses fogging up my evaluation of my favorite team's players. You really think teams are going to pay to pick up JJ? Even that Minnesota trade you talked about from Fenton has Minnesota's cap dump going back. Pateryn is a rental that actually can play unlike JJ.

Pateryn > JJ
Murray = 2nd round (I don't agree with this, but I'm willing to roll with it. I think he is worth a 3rd.)
get rid of the cap hit >>>>>>>>>> JJ

the value is horrible for the Wild in this trade. They don't win anything in this trade. They take on a lot of cap and lose a 2nd rounder. A GM should be fired if they took this deal. Plus the Wild's big need is centers. Guerin already said that Dubnyk won't be brought out.

Dubnyk will likely be moved as per most reports.

You also have no clue what will happen. You're entitled to THINK you do, but to say what will or will not happen just makes look obnoxious and foolish.

I never said I knew what would happen, but I think it is safe to say this trade won't happen.

maybe if pitt throws in a 1st round pick and center prospect they would consider it. If pitt wants to fit under their internal cap hit they need to be willing to lose trades.

Sorry I should clarify, no I don’t know what moves the Wild will make, however I do know it won’t be this package. Works better for ya?

How about victor Rask for Crosby? You never know...

The Wild wouldn't take that deal. They are free of Pateryn after this year... and BG has been cutting future cap, adding Johnson's dead weight for a few more years is the opposite of what he has been doing. Until we move a goalie out, we aren't trading for another one.
