Colorado from a Rangers Fans perspective

Created by: KingLundqvist30
Team: 2020-21 Colorado Avalanche
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 29, 2020
Published: Sep. 29, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Thought the Killer move was pretty good, let me know down below.

Graves gets a reasonable extension. Making these moves still ensures that Colorado will have enough cap room to retain both Landeskog and Makar when they are due for new deals.

In my opinion, Byram needs one more year of seasoning before becoming full-time. Conveniently enough, Ian Cole’s contract is up in a year and I don’t see the Avs keeping him around.

trades fine. Would think the 2nd is a bit too much, probably a 3rd and Jost gets the deal done.

You didnt sign Zadorov out of the RFAs. Sign and trade him if thats the case. The healthy scratch UFA trio arent needed, I assume just placeholder but they wont add depth like that when they have guys like Logan O'Connor, Bowers in the system

Forgot about Zadorov, my guess is he’s wearing another teams uniform come opening night, I just don’t see him in the future plans. As for the scratched guys, yea, I just have them for placeholders, but you make a very good point. Personally, I’d like to see Jumbo joe make his way to Colorado. Sort of like a Ray Bourque deal, but Thornton would be playing 4th line minutes.

Zads would be gone. Easily can see Jost Graves or Zadorov packaged up with a pick for a bigger foward return, someone younger with a big more term, or they could just dump zads for futures. either or.
they easily could do 1 UFA type signing. I wouldnt be shocked they take a look at bobby ryan as a cheap pick up.

If wennberg is bought out, they 100% sign him. Avs and ex Blue Jackets, they love em

I like it. Still think the avs need an improvement in the goalie department.

If I’m Colorado, I’d take a look at Kuemper or MAF. I just don’t see them winning a cup with the current tandem.

No, they won't win with that group. They ha e plenty of prospects and picks though to really acquire what they need to make it happen though.

goalies are fine, they got injured so that sucks for them to really know what they have in Grubauer. They dont have to feel obligated to make a goalie change if the market isnt there.

A lot of goalies available via trade arent really upgrades, just lateral moves in net. Murray, Andersen, etc etc dont move the needle much. All they become is just more expensive versions of what they have, no need eating up cap space for no reason

if Lehner makes it to market, take a run at him. Check in on Markstrom on what his demands are if it makes sense cap wise.
