CGY wont pay that much for an expiring Goaltender. But i dont think thats the point here, the point is freddy to CGY for futures

Calgary woukd rather sign a free agent like Markstrom or Hotby for free than give up 2 seconds for a player with 1 year left on his contract. Be better off trading for Kemper or Murray who is a RFA.

Look up 2 comments. It's basically just Freddy for Futures. Didn't really spend too much time thinking what the draft pick compensation would be.

Yeah, wasn't sure what the draft compensation would be, just threw a bunch together. Basically just Freddy for Futures

Would be surprised if LVK move Carrier, but they likely have to move Cousins or Stephenson. I think either or could be a good fit in the Leafs bottom 6 without being north of $2 million.

I mean we certainly could, but why this move?

The Wild don't want Kerfoot... he's an expensive #3C. We have Eek for half the price.... Nylander is the only guy we are interested in and even that is iffy because it would take Dumba and BG seems set on only trading him for a #1/#2 Center.

would take more than just Dumba to get Nylander from Toronto. Best 1 for 1 Wild could get for Dumba would likely be Domi

Straight up cap space. Realistically Cousins and Stephenson could come in around $2m a piece, which means one or the other, or possibly both would need to move. Moving these players will liekly be easier than moving Stasny. Assuming moving MAF's $$ is to free up $$ to sign Lehner (probably around same AAV), and they still need to sign 2D.

I think we’re going to see a lot of moves. Moving Stephenson isn’t one of them.

Dumba > Domi... Domi was traded for Galchenyuk who is almost out of the league, and Domi found his way down to the 3rd line/4th line center. He has potential, but those two aren't equal. Dumba has way more value as a Top 2 Right Shot RD.
