Bolts 20-21 - lets win it again next year all the RFAs signed 5M NTC moved

Created by: stammerman
Team: 2020-21 Tampa Bay Lightning
Initial Creation Date: Sep. 14, 2020
Published: Sep. 29, 2020
Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
I think Johnson would waive to play legit top 6 minutes, he fits for Minnesota because they need top 6 players and in this trade they get him and additional assets and give pretty much up nothing for him, then they can move on from him if it doesn't work out to maybe Seattle at the expansion.

Killorn and Paquette are traded due to not having NTC.

Coburn waives his NTC to play elsewhere after being the 9th Dman this playoffs.

Shattenkirk signs one more cheap deal since he is getting paid from the Rangers this year.

All the RFAs sign bridge deals that I think are close to fair for the COVID cap.

All for fun.

I see a lot of Montreal fans want Hot Pocket. I hate to see him go but he would fit in well with Montreal

Additional Details:
Cap relief

  1. 2020 2nd round pick (NJD)
  2. 2020 3rd round pick (MIN)
Additional Details:

Additional Details:
Don't know if it works or not for Nashville but I think Killorn would go to Nashville.
3.
TBL
  1. 2020 6th round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Cap relief
NJD
  1. Coburn, Braydon
Additional Details:
Low risk good reward cheap 1 year contract for a still decent player. I think Coburn would waive to NJ where he could play.
4.
TBL
  1. Hunt, Brad
  2. Stalock, Alex
Additional Details:
Cap space and two NHL players making under 800k
MIN
  1. Johnson, Tyler
  2. McElhinney, Curtis
  3. Raddysh, Taylor
  4. 2020 3rd round pick (TBL)
Additional Details:
Minnesota needs a top 6 C/W and Johnson needs a new place to play to refresh his game. He is not the ultimate solution but he is not costing Minnesota much at all to take on which they can. They obtain a pick and decent prospect.

The Wild say yes, but only if Tampa takes Donato too.

For the love of god please do not resign Rutta, hes awful. Bring back Bogo for 1M instead.

Shattenkirk is getting at least 3-3.5M and not from Tampa.

Dont think Verhaeghe is top 6 ready, i hope JBB makes a run at Bobby Ryan for a 1 year 1M deal for 2RW

Swap the values on Cirelli and Sergachev, give Cirelli an extra year.

Rutta or Bogosian, either is fine.

Shattenkirk would get more but I prefaced in my notes that he takes a one year deal to stay with Tampa since the Rangers are still paying him.

Sergachev is worth more to me then Cirelli at the moment, Cirelli at 4.25 is a fair deal he has not put up the points to ask for more then that. Sean Couturier type money who grew into the scoring.

Verhaeghe, Volkov, ABB one of them will have to step up. Ryan on a cheap deal would be intriguing.

Can you retain 50% on him?

You did an excellent job here. Very realistic and well thought out. I think league minimum next season is 750,000. That's nitpicking though. Well done! 👍

Thanks.

Interesting. If so I need to make a couple minor changes to this.

Do you think there is no market for him in any other kind of trade?

Shattenkirk had a good year and can get a decent contract on the open market, also Foote is ready to step up.

4 years of Cirelli is worth more that 3 years of Sergachev thats why i said to swap them and add a year to Cirelli

Due to the COVID the minimum wage is remaining 700K for next year, I thought I read it somewhere, googled it and this article mentions it.

Didn't realize you meant four years for Cirelli, that makes sense.

But its so tight could they get Sergachev on three year deal for 4.2-4.4M. I think they have to go McAvoy money 4.7-4.9 and at this number not sure how they could go four years with Cirelli.

i went over it in a different thread, McAvoy and Werenski are better than Sergachev therefore they are worth more, Tampa has no state tax, and those deals weren't signed with the expectation of a flat cap. 4.25-4.5 is fair for 3 years of Sergachev

Im sure there are a few GMs who think he’s more than an AHL injury replacement player.

Disagree, Johnson is the one they might have to give up more to move. He is coming off a down year, the move is to create cap space and this move creates over 5.5M in cap space. A lot of people think Johnson could bring a second or third and I agreed but I think that will be hard now with the hard flat cap.

We aren’t paying anymore than a 5th to get rid of tj especially not a 3rd and our 3rd best prospect

Raddysh is not our third best prospect as the kid cannot skate so he will not play for the Bolts unless his skating drastically improves. Foote, ABB, Katchouk are the three best prospects not with the big club. I would even put Colton Ross about Raddysh (his skating is that poor).

So you agree with the premise of the trade just hashing over the finer detail. Okay make it a 4th or 5th round pick and a prospect like Otto Somppi.

Raydish does have poor skating but he makes up for it in his amazing ability to protect the puck although his PNHLe isn’t as good as when we drafted him he’s still predicted to be a 2nd liner and if he can live up to his PNHLe from when we drafted him then he’s the next ovi. But borris peaked a year ago as a top end 2nd liner comparable to a palat although that is the same system that says gaunce should be better than Bobby Orr based of the 4 points in 3 games he has this year
