Description
Buffalo is a wild card team in terms of what or what not they would trade. EICHEL very easily could be traded and that package would have to to be quality AND some quantity. Laine retained 2M for the year helps the financial part of the business until Covid normalize the league and they get some young high end talent as well as #10 in this year's draft to take BPA to start the rebuild. They do the same thing with Risto and fast track it while still getting some good players on cheap contracts.

Jets on the other hand get another top C they desperately need albeit highly paid but get the kind of C depth needed to compete now with Wheeler Helley and Scheif in their primes now.

    I would be shocked if that got it done to be perfectly honest. I'd imagine they could ask for as much as Ehlers/Laine + Hellebuyck/Morrisey + 1st, or maybe even a combo of three of those players, which WPG shouldn't do given that they have a #1C already

    Top 10 centres under 25 aren't easy to come by, and #1Cs are very scarce

    That’s a wet dream for sure but you would need to move Frenchie cause DeMelo will be a lot more than you have here

    So Buffalo shouldn't trade Eichel and I doubt it's being considered by them but the Jets aren't a good trade partner if they were considering trading him, also I think they'd want Connor and not Laine, think they'd prefer the contract certainty of Connor.

    Fair value would be Scheifele, Heinola, 10th OA, and one of Copp, Lowry, or Perrault. But Eichel isn't being traded

    What if it was Connor instead of Scheifele? Maybe threw in Roslovic as well if need be.

    No it'd need to be a center coming back to fill the void. Value wise Connor and Scheifele are pretty similar it's just the position that is the key
