Description

You protect Drouin Ehlers Danault Gally Petry Weber Chiarot Edmundson Price. If you have to protect KK and Tatar, then protect them + Armia.

1st scenario : Armia Gourde Byron are available.
2nd scenario : Edmundson Byron Gourde are available.

You delete at least 2.6millions of salary.

In 2021-2022 : Tatar isn’t coming back and his 4.8 millions goes to Danault and Gally. The 2.6millions (at least, expansion draft) goes to KK who sign a bridge of 3.5millions for 3 years. Primeau is the backup to Carey and you could use 3.4millions (Allen contract’s - Primeau $) to find a winger that will be able to play in the top 3 lines. Maybe a guy like Ylonen can replace Armia.

That Jets trade is not good for the Habs.....Take out the Jets 1st and Caufield. Ehlers is a great fit but giving up Caufield isn’t an option for him. Giving up Domi, a solid young D and a good centre prospect should be enough for Ehlers and if it’s not then walk away or make it work with another pick.

Because Lehkonen is a really solid 3rd liner, in my book better than Gourde, this is a horrible trade for MTL and Tampa should runaway with that. Lehkonen has more value than Gourde with is 5+ caphit

I doubt that but we never know, I wouldn’t take Gourde for free if I was Bergevin
