The price for Killorn is more than that.
He just had 26 goals in 68 games

Buffalo accepts.

Why?

I want to take Cirelli, not some cap dump to aid a division rival.

A free third round pick to use him as a 7th defenseman? He's only getting $1.7M. GMKA takes it every day.

I'd love to have Sergachev on Detroit, but that's a hell no to that. Detroit's not trading their only quality Top 4 D and a good pick for a player that is going to be more expensive and is only arguably better.

Also, second point. Tampa is in complete cap hell. Why would the Red Wings help a division rival with their cap situation and give them a player that could easily be their top pairing RHD next season?
The only way this makes any sort of sense at all for Detroit is if Seider is even better than expected, and they draft Drysdale.

Hronek is better, Tampa adds not Detroit.

I agree entirely, but I think we're in the minority here. Not many non-Wings fans watched many Wings games this year.

Maybe but it's not hard to find their advanced stats and Hronek is clearly better albeit with a smaller sample size.

Hronek isn't a 2nd rd pick worse than Sergachev. Straight up is much closer but then Detroit is just moving pieces around it doesn't make the team any better.

Sergachev can play RD so he won't be trade for something similar... it's a no sense for both side

I agree... the minimum cost would be a Poehling +2nd...

Big pass on buffalo. A cap dump to move from a 5th round to a 3rd. Absolutely zero value in that

Most cases I agree, Tampa is in a tough spot though so I'm not entirely sure if they can get full value

I've not Sen enough hronek, I know he's Good but wasn't entirety sure the comparable to sergachev, my initial thought was one for one but the hronek sample size was small.

It's a fairly one year deal so I don't think Tampa is giving up too much for a dump, also was thinking shares could use a player off a cup run to infuse some positive vibes in the locker room

Tampa is giving nothing of value for this camp dump. No reason to move back 2 rounds to take on a player with no trade value.
