"WILL THEY EVER BE GOOD". The Sabres are so far behind the Bruins and Tampa, there is virtually no change of advancing even they make the playoffs. Looks like Ottawa and Montreal have a good base of young talent. Then the Leafs have the money to spend wildly. Sabres will have to be very, very lucky and hit on many of their draft choices to create a roster than will allow them to be good.
So no, I don't expect the Sabres to "be good" or even. "good enough" soon...maybe not for a very long time. Look it took the Bills 20 years to get it right and their only dominant competition in the AFC North was New England.
