For sentimental reasons, the Hank signing is cool and all but I just don't know that he can be effective.

I think if Hall were to accept a short-term deal, it would be longer than a year and would definitely be much more expensive that $7MM. I could see 2-3 years at $8-9 mil but not 1x7.

I'm not a big believer in Namestnikov - I'm just not sold on what he brings and there are better options available.

The deal for Jost and Z is very similar to one I proposed and it's not bad but you're giving two young, former first-round picks to Detroit and they have a ton of other teams picks so you might be able to squeeze them for another team's 2nd and 3rd or maybe even 2 2nd's. I do think it's worth it for Joe to see what he could get from Yzer for guys like Jost and Z. They're rebuilding and need pieces.

I think you could probily get that detroit trade for just zads. You're selling low on both players in that deal.
Also if hank is still a free agent at deadline he would be a great 3rd string for us like hutch was this year but i don't see us moving franky for a 3rd to make room for someone who is gonna retire in a season or two

Ok, where to begin, the Detroit trade is tricky, one group says not enough value for a 2nd from Detroit, then too much given to Detroit, hard to keep everyone happy lol, in regards to Taylor hall, the cap could change after next year that’s why it’s a 1 yr deal, why lock in long term if he turns into a disappointment once again.. also he should be used to living out of a suitcase at this point at least he’ll be on a team that has actual potential lol, and for hank well, I don’t see Frankie being a starter but I’d rather take an experienced older goalie as a back up on a short term deal.
