1. Byfield, but because Ottawa will in fact trade up to select the centerman. I suspect it costs pick #28 to do so, and I think the Senators will be able to live with that decision.

2. Holtz will go before Quinn. The OHL's goal-scoring phenom really fell off of a lot of draft lists, but more as a consequence of other names rising.

3. Sanderson. I think Drysdale might fall out of the top-10.

4. Rossi. No chance Detroit passes on him.

5. Peterka goes in the first round, Reichel in the second.

6. New Jersey at #7, Minnesota at #9, or Nashville at #11. Really depends on how the first group of forwards falls.

7. Joel Blomqvist is going to go in the late 2nd Round when he's maybe the 5th best goaltender of this draft class.

1. TBH I haven't paid that much attention but I would say Byfield with everything I've heard.

3. Drysdale ... looked great at the world juniors
4. Probably Rossi, but it's close
5. Peterka
6. NJD could surprise and pick him in the top 10 (or Minnesota), but I wonder about Chicago at 17, New Jersey at 18, or Calgary at 19 ... or maybe New Jersey at 20.
7. JJ Peterka could be a top 10 pick (most likely 11-20)

There's something about Rossi, I cant explain why but I think he's going to end up being the best player out of this draft class.

-Defenseman. You have the big 4(Drysdale, Sanderson, Guhle, and Schneider), Poirier is 1st round talent offensively but a risk defensively, and then Grans has inched his way into the 1st round, but I feel like more than 6 GMs are looking for defense so players such as Wallinder, Barron, O'Rourke, or Mukhamadullin can force their way into the 1st as well and push out some forwards that might be better than them.

Byfield is going 1st overall

i mean it wouldnt be the craziest thing. although passing on laf would be the toughest thing to do as a franchise. if laf fell to kings that team in 3 years will be one of the best teams in the league.

I feel like Laf just doesn’t fit into the Rangers lineup. Byfield could step in as 2C this year hopefully for them

i actually had this exact thought to myself yesterday as well. that a 1-2 of ziba and byfield with wingers consisting of panarin, kakko, kreider, and kravtsov would be ridiculous.
